The Serenity Prayer

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and wisdom to know the difference.

About the Panel

Real stories of letting go, and the peace that follows.

SURRENDER Sessions brings people together to share real stories of surrender and the God moments that carried them through.

In this live panel, host Carroll Patrizi is joined by Barbara Collins, Jerri D Moore, and Christy Freddo for an honest conversation about the Serenity Prayer: accepting what we cannot change, finding courage for what we can, and asking God for the wisdom to know the difference.

Whether you're 25 or 85, you're invited to pause, breathe, and discover what the practice of surrender can unlock in your life.

Host

Carroll Patrizi

Carroll believes in Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, in education, and in connecting with others through stories. She's been told her God-given gift is encouraging others to embrace and grow their own, a calling she embraced early as one of eleven siblings.

Based in Houston, Texas, she has built a career in real estate and banking, co-founded CAM Construction and CAM Care Home Services with her husband, and founded One of Eleven Productions. She hosts the Conversations with Carroll podcast, where she shares inspiring stories with listeners around the world.

Panelist · Child of God

Barbara Collins

Barbara is a child of God, wife of over 40 years to William, mother to six beautiful daughters, and grandmother to ten incredible grandkids. An artist, teacher, writer, photographer, and friend, she is an originator of common sense and great ideas who lives and loves the Texas Hill Country.

She earned her BFA in photography at the University of Texas and has been a lifelong Longhorn fan. For more than ten years she has hosted women's retreats, taught numerous Bible studies, and led many people to know Jesus. She loves the healing power art brings and the freedom people find when they slow down and experiment with creativity. Her mantra: art is a science, because it is one big experiment, and art is not in a hurry.

"My story is important to God. We are called to share our testimony in hopes that others might come to know Christ. Our gifts are not just for ourselves, but to be shared to water, plant seeds and harvest souls for the Kingdom of God."

Panelist · Independent Film Producer

Jerri D Moore

Jerri Moore is an award-winning independent film producer with a vision for films that are truthful, raw, and insightful to our modern lives. Two of her films premiered at Sundance (Among Ravens and Ass Backwards), and Land of Leopold won many audience awards on the festival circuit before being acquired by HBO Europe and Concourse Media.

With writer-director Annie Silverstein and Monique Walton, she produced BULL, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, earned Golden Camera and Un Certain Regard nominations, and is distributed by Sony Pictures Worldwide and Samuel Goldwyn. The three partnered again on PARACHUTE, which wrapped in summer 2026, and Jerri is shooting INTERVENTION, a psychological thriller short series written by her son, Chris Pinkalla. She serves on the boards of the Council on Recovery and NTZ (No Trafficking Zone).

Panelist · Speaker, Author & Creator of Soul 365

Christy Freddo

Christy Freddo has reinvented herself time and again. As a speaker, author, spa owner, and creator of Soul 365, she helps women cultivate more peace and joy in their lives.

Her journey has taken her from international corporate leadership through getting sober and leaving an abusive marriage, and eventually to a month of spiritual exploration in Bali. Today, she brings those experiences to conversations about surrender, possibility, and the courage to begin again.

"Look for evidence of the strength that has carried you before, surrender the need to control how it all turns out, and take the next step without needing to see the whole staircase. What feels like everything falling apart may be the beginning of things falling together in ways better than you could have imagined."
Christy's message to you
