The Oscars!
The Oscars! What an unforgettable experience. While no one I know personally took home a golden statue, the magic of the event was undeniable. From meeting new people to deepening relationships in the exclusive gifting lounge, it was a weekend filled with inspiration, energy, and growth.
Before the glitz and glamour of the Oscars ceremony, I had the incredible opportunity to be in the gifting lounge—a space buzzing with influencers, media, celebrities, their teams, and brand representatives. Every corner was alive with excitement, each booth showcasing something unique. And ours? Well, we were there with the 262 Group, led by the amazing Deb Drummond, a powerhouse in the publishing world and someone I truly enjoy collaborating with.
Several co-authors from our group had their own booths, representing their solo books and projects. It was inspiring to see them step into their roles as authors, sharing their journeys and connecting with others eager to join our growing network. We met so many people excited about the idea of becoming authors themselves—expanding our community and reaching new heights together.
One of the most beautiful aspects of this experience was the diversity of people I met. Our group alone had members from all over the world—including Ireland! It was a powerful reminder that our work is expanding globally, reaching beyond borders and bringing people together through shared stories and experiences.
And let’s talk about the energy—absolutely electric. The conversations, the shared ambitions, the passion—it was awe-inspiring. Being surrounded by such hard-working, driven individuals fueled my own fire. It wasn’t just about networking; it was about growing, learning, and stepping further into my own journey.
I have to admit, I’ve always imagined myself winning an Oscar. It was a childhood dream. And while I may not have been holding a golden statue, I was there—experiencing the energy, the connections, and the once-in-a-lifetime moments. Standing in the gifting lounge, I realized something profound: dreams don’t always unfold the way we picture them, but they can still come true in unexpected and beautiful ways.
This is just the beginning. We’re already planning our return—next stop, the Emmys! Whether it’s later this year or in 2026, we are going back and growing even more. This experience has only strengthened my belief in the power of community, storytelling, and stepping outside our comfort zones—or rather, expanding them.
To everyone I met, to the connections deepened, and to the dreams still unfolding—thank you. The Oscars were a remarkable experience, and I can’t wait for what’s next.
